Staying at Cat Ghaut made our trip to Nevis extra special. I loved eating breakfast on the front porch and walking the gardens and golf course as the sun came up. It was like having our own private retreat and it was a wonderful way to start the day before heading out to explore the island. My husband and I even enjoyed playing a little golf in the evening, right out our front door.

My wife and I stayed at Cat Ghaut on the island of Nevis in March of 2015 for one full week.  We definitely enjoyed our stay and would return.  It was relaxing and adventurous exploring the laid back island and visiting all the major sights on Nevis.  Every morning I would fix a pot of coffee and spend 60-90 minutes sitting on the swing on the porch looking out over the ocean view.  All the stress and worries of our hectic life in Maryland were gone and we were able to just chill out and plan our days.  We are not golfers so we did not hit the links but if you like golf, it’s right out your back door.  Every hole has an ocean view and the scenery is unbeatable.  Every day we would pick a different destination and take our car out for a tour of the island.  If you are into hiking, Nevis has some fantastic trails which will take you up into the mountains and through some incredible jungles full of exotic birds and monkeys.  There are several good restaurants all within a short drive (the island is only 26.2 miles in circumference) .  Bananas and Golden Rock were two of our favorites.  We have been to 10-12 different islands in the Caribbean and Nevis was one of our favorites.  Originally we had planned on going over to St. Kitts for a day but we never made it.  There was too much to see and do right there on Nevis.  I highly recommend staying at Cat Ghaut and enjoying the sights and beauty of this friendly and safe island.
